Outreach

'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'  Matthew 25:40

We count it one of our highest privileges to be able to serve people the way that Jesus served.  Court Street Christian Church is passionate about outreach.  God loved so much that He gave, and we are following His example.  We strive to
Challenge every person to show God's love in practical ways through Christian kindness. Below you will find some of the ways we reach out to our community and world for Christ.  Feel free to click on a link and explore what these opportunities involve.

Emmaus Church

We have 3 MOPS groups currently meeting at Court Street serving over 75 moms.

Pastor Ben and volunteers provide chapel and service needs monthly at Union Gospel Mission.  The church family also provides support through donations of money and clothing drives.

We believe that it is important to reach out to other communities by planting churches.  Our own Gary Chupik has planted a new church in Woodinville, WA. Emmaus Church launched their new services at Woodinville Theater in March of this year.

Court Street has an annual food drive "challenge" with First Christian Church to provide much needed items to Marion Polk Food Share.

Our own Joy Dull rallies us to "Bless the Children" so that every child in Uganda will someday have clean drinking water.

We are uniting our 5 teams into one unified team in our "Relay for Life".  Join our team and walk with us.

Turner Retirement is home to lots of former Court Streeters and we are always happy to see them while out working the grounds or joining them for services.

Not everyone in Salem is "free" to join us for worship services, so a loving group of men take the Good News of Christ to the local incarcerated population weekly at our Prison Ministries bible studies.

Visiting and volunteering at Casa de Paz Orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico twice per year is on the top of the list of favorite things to do for many in our church family.  Thinking they will go down to bless the children living there and coming home feeling like the childern were doing the blessing is a common statement of mission alumni.

You can call us a bunch of "bleeding hearts", but that is exactly what we do quarterly for our Red Cross Blood Drives.

If gaming has gotten out of hand in your life, a Gamblers Anonymous meeting may be just what you've been looking for. Weekly meetings held at our location.

If all you can spare is spare change, then set it aside for our Baby Bottle Boomerang benefiting the Salem Pregnancy Center. The change drive runs from Mother's Day to Father's Day each year. We also had a change drive this last Christmas to help families in need during the holiday season.

Oregon Latin Evangelism (OLE) helps us to reach the Spanish speaking peoples of our community. Iglesia de Cristo congregation has Sunday and weekday meeting times at our location.

These are just a few of the many opportunities for reaching our community and the world with Court Street Christian Church.
