Hello Church,

Today we received news that our state government is stopping all public gatherings of 250 people or more in an effort to slow the spread (and limit the severity) of the COVID-19 pandemic. This limitation affects our weekend services at Court Street.  Our leadership has been monitoring this situation closely and we continue to take steps beyond what’s recommended.  At this time, we have no cases of the virus in our church congregation nor in our Childcare Center.  As a leadership, we do not make decisions based on fear, but rather out of love.  Our love for our intergenerational church and our community has led us to suspend all of our onsite programs and church services for the next 4 weeks.  Our Childcare Center will continue operations while monitoring the situation closely.

So, what now?

As a church we’re not taking a break, we are simply going to change the way we do things for the next few weeks.  We will continue to post weekly services online, including this week.  This is a powerful opportunity for the gospel as people in our community will be seeking reassurance and asking big questions.

Here are some ways to stay connected:

Participate Online

Watch live on Sundays and engage with us throughout the week on Facebook and through our website.

NEW!  Watch on CCTV

Our services will be airing on Sundays at 9:00 am starting March 15 on Comcast channel 23.

Follow us on Social Media

Please like, share, & comment on our posts to make our messages of hope even more available to others.

Giving

Partnering with us financially allows us to continue ministering during this time and funds our strategic ministry partners locally and around the world.  Pushpay is a great, secure way to give, just text “courtstreet” to “77977” to start today.  If you require any support in getting your offering to the church, please call us.

The church office will remain open and our pastors will continue meeting with people.  Our pastoral teams are working on creative ways to leverage social media and other avenues to stir up connection and spiritual growth during this time - watch for new content and opportunities!  We are trusting God that this temporary change will be a catalyst to expand the gospel!  If you have any creative ideas or any questions, please reach out to us via email, social media, or by calling the church office.

More than ever, this is a time to live in the hope and love of Christ. As a church, let’s take this situation seriously but not be driven by fear, I’ll remind you of the powerful words I quoted from the Apostle John two weeks ago:

“…perfect love drives out fear.”     1 John 4:18

God is going to accomplish something beautiful through this.

Love and grace,

Cory and the Court Street Elders and Leadership
