What We Believe
Doctrinal Approach
The Bible
The Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the only authority for our faith (what we believe) and practice (how we are to live). 2 Timothy 3:16
God
God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the Universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13
Mankind
Mankind
People are made in the image of God and have worth as a creation of God, but "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became man to die for the sins of the whole world. He was raised from the dead and ascended back to heaven; He is coming again.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
Salvation
Salvation
Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Jesus as Lord and Savior. Those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess Jesus as Lord, and be baptized into Him. John 3:16; Romans 10:9 ; Acts 2:38
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian, providing power for doing what is right. He gives Christians spiritual gifts and is the source of spiritual fruit in our lives. John 16:7-13, 14:16,17; Galatians 5:25
