Daily Practices of Restorative Rest

On October 11th, we kicked off a new sermon series called "The Rest of God." Then each day that week, we invited you to experience restorative rest by engaging in a 5-minute practice suggested by our pastoral team. Follow us on Social Media or follow the links below to see each day's recommendation:

Day 1: Read Scripture

Day 2: Stillness

Day 3: Mindful Eating

Day 4: Wander & Wonder

Day 5: Cat Nap

Home Groups

This fall we encourage you to consider starting or joining a home group. At a time when meeting in person has extra considerations, this is a healthy option for pursuing community and personal growth!

What’s a home group? It is finding one to three people to intentionally share about your walk with God, and pray for one another. In our next sermon series, the pastors will offer a few short discussion questions every week to use the sermon as a starting point. One option is to watch the sermon together, and then take 20-30min to talk about it and pray. If you're not able to meet in person, it could be an intentional phone date or video chat. The timing can work with your schedule, but we recommend agreeing to connect weekly for 4-6 weeks.

If you'd like suggestions about how to start this, connect with Pastor Dani at ddaly@courtstreet.org. Our pastoral team is eager to empower individuals to keep growing together and encouraging one another.

Remote Small Group

Now that school is underway, this could be a good time to consider what will help you stay connected and healthy through the fall. Our fall small groups ministry will look a little different than usual, but several small groups continue to meet remotely and in homes. Here's an option if you'd like to try something new:

Starting mid-October we’re offering a remote, 1-hour, small group option for 6 weeks on Wednesday nights.  Pastor Josh will be leading it as a mixed group (All are welcome! Singles, couples, dating, married, men, women, parents, etc.)  Reach out to Pastor Dani at ddaly@courtstreet.org if you're interested.
