There are many ways to partner before and during the event, including decor, prep, shopping, and leading small groups of kids. Our volunteer team will determine how many children can participate when registration opens later this summer.

Become part of the children's outreach team during Wednesday programs this fall! We are looking for a team leader and childcare workers. These are paid positions for 2-4 hours per week for 9-10 weeks. We have 2 classrooms (age 5 & under, and elementary), plus a check-in volunteer. Together, let’s create a fun environment where children want to come experience the love of Jesus.

Serve weekly or join the monthly rotation to lead the children growing up in this congregation. As our elementary group grows, it’s time to multiply into two elementary classes on Sundays, which requires one teacher and one helper per week. Sundays at 9:30-11:15am.

Give one hour of your week to a child, and discover how transformational this kind of relationship can be! Our Kids Hope program pairs 1 adult from Court Street with 1 child from Richmond Elementary for 1 hour, once a week. Whether you become a prayer partner or a mentor, we want you on our team. ​

Volunteers are needed for our Summer Family Event on Friday, August 28. Help greet, serve snack, apply temporary tattoos or hair tinsel, manage the craft table, manage a carnival style game or the prize area. We would also love a few volunteers to help during our Closure Week, August 31-September 4. Opportunities include: applying sealant to the wood of the gazebo on the large playground; pressure washing the play structure and playhouse on the small playground; or cleaning classroom carpets.

Pastor Becca does such an amazing job of decorating our church for Christmas each year. However, the closet where all the decorations are stored needs some help! If you have a few hours available, Becca would love your assistance getting all the décor sorted, organized, and stored away before the 2026 holiday season.

Become part of the incredible team that prepares, serves, and cleans up after Wednesday meals. Join the rotation for 9 weeks from September 23 – November 18. All roles are needed, but we are especially looking for a team lead in the preparation of the meals.

Each week, the Worship Center needs a quick reset: straightening and re-filling the seat backs, picking up used communion cups, and looking for items left behind. This could be a great way for a family to serve together weekly. The time is flexible - any time during the week or even after service on Sundays.

Join this vital hospitality team, greeting loved ones as they arrive for a memorial service and serving cookies at the reception afterwards.

​Preparing Communion for Sunday services is a weekly, essential task. We would love for a few people to learn the process so we have a substitute when our regular communion volunteer is out. This is a great “team” job for two people to work together.

Court Street has been on the corner of Court & 17th Street for over 110 years! Because of that, we have amassed a huge collection of historic documents, photos, and files from all those years. If you enjoy history, love this church, and have a knack for organization, we would welcome your help getting some of it organized! This project was started for our 110th Anniversary celebration in 2024, but there’s plenty left to do.
